About Me

I'm Oscar, a Codam Core graduate with a current focus on graphics and emulation.

My first experience with programming was with HTML at 14, and I really put my everything into it from 21 onwards. After struggling to find interest in my university studies alongside Covid, I decided to reassess what I wanted to put my effort in, and joined Codam. Thanks to Codam I have gained a solid foundation in C and C++ upon which I have been building. Codam's teaching model has made me confident in my ability to learn any field of interest/need through effort.

My first work experience was at Leaning Technologies where I worked on porting WebVM to the Isolated Web App (IWA) protocol. This involved work on their x86 virtualization library CheerpX where I also reworked the networking implementation to be more flexible and make use of new IWA features. You can read more about my work and impact in 'Past work' in Quick Links.

Nowadays I am working on improving both my C++ and Rust proficiency, while diving into programming fields of interest such as graphics and emulation. Programming has become a hobby and a vast majority of my free time goes into side projects and research.

Outside of programming I love playing piano, reading fantasy books, hiking, and playing games.
